Located in Ballard, Washington

A dental office experience is only as good as it’s team members, and at The Tooth Ferry, we pride ourselves on hiring the very best. Dr. Posthuma was eager to hire assistants who she had known for many years and bring them together at her own office when assembling her “dream team”. Her assistants agree with her philosophy of treating each and every child with kindness and respect, and allowing the time needed to work at the child’s pace, explaining and teaching as they complete each part of a child’s appointment.

Megan and her husband Josh collaborated to build The Tooth Ferry from the ground up- it is truly a labor of love and their family business. Their mission is to provide high-quality, easily accessible dental care in an environment in which you and your children feel heard and respected. Dr. Posthuma and her team treat every patient as if they were family. Dr. Posthuma does not believe her job is to diagnose and fill cavities. She sees her profession as a calling- one of building relationships with children and families and providing them with positive associations with dental care that will last for a lifetime. She is an educator regarding oral health, which she believes to be more central to overall health of the body than previous generations have ever realized.
