Quality care — from our family to yours!Book An Appointment

A dental office experience is only as good as it’s team members, and at The Tooth Ferry, we pride ourselves on hiring the very best. Dr. Posthuma was eager to hire assistants who she had known for many years and bring them together at her own office when assembling her “dream team”. Her assistants agree with her philosophy of treating each and every child with kindness and respect, and allowing the time needed to work at the child’s pace, explaining and teaching as they complete each part of a child’s appointment.
Megan and her husband Josh collaborated to build The Tooth Ferry from the ground up- it is truly a labor of love and their family business. Their mission is to provide high-quality, easily accessible dental care in an environment in which you and your children feel heard and respected. Dr. Posthuma and her team treat every patient as if they were family. Dr. Posthuma does not believe her job is to diagnose and fill cavities. She sees her profession as a calling- one of building relationships with children and families and providing them with positive associations with dental care that will last for a lifetime. She is an educator regarding oral health, which she believes to be more central to overall health of the body than previous generations have ever realized.

Marissa is excited to be a part of the Tooth Ferry family and is looking forward to helping build a practice in such an amazing community. She is very passionate about changing kids’ views on dentistry making the dentist a safe, fun and exciting place to visit. Her 15+ years of experience has not only given her amazing chairside skills but has taught her how to love and care for every child, treating them with kindness and giving them the confidence that they can do it! She brings fun and enthusiasm to the office!
Marissa was born in Spokane and spent her childhood in Mukilteo before returning to Spokane where she went to college to get her dental assisting degree. Missing her family, she came
back to Seattle where she met her husband. Currently, they live in beautiful Lake Stevens where they bought a house and have a Great Dane puppy, Brixton. Marissa loves spending most of her free time with family and spoiling her two nieces and nephew. She and her husband enjoy golfing, skiing, spending time on their boat, and love traveling — whether it’s a long getaway or a quick weekend trip to the coast.
