Scheduling Appointments
Appointments can be scheduled online or by calling our office. Most routine re-care visits take no more than 30-40 minutes.
We provide appointment times in the early morning hours and after 5pm. We want to do our best to accommodate your family’s busy schedule!
While we ask that you give 24-hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment, we do understand that kids and parents get sick! If you or your child are unwell, and feel you may be at risk of being contagious to other patients or to our staff, please don’t hesitate to contact us to cancel your child’s appointment at any time.
We accept all major insurances, including Premera Blue Cross, Delta Dental, Regence, and Cigna.

Can I Be With My Child During Their Visit?
We welcome parents being present with their child during their recare visit. The oral hygiene assessment and instructions are useful for both parents and children to hear, since most young children are not brushing and flossing on their own yet. Also, the doctor will review your child’s treatment plan with you and answer questions at these visits.
If your child requires restorative treatment (fillings), some options will be discussed as to how to facilitate your child having their best experience. Dr. Posthuma does her best to defer to you, the parent, and develop a plan that makes you feel comfortable.
You will receive a handout prior to treatment that will help you choose words that are consistent with the ones the doctor will use to describe to your child what is happening on the day of treatment. Please refrain from using words such as “shot, pull, drill, etc…” when talking to your child about their upcoming visit.
